I was cruiseing home yesterday. There was no traffic on 275, so I decide to top

it out. Well at about 128-129 it quit pullen and started to slow. Get off the

highway and its knocing loud. Sounds like either a broken rocker arm or wiped

lobe. It only runs on 5 cylenders too, so Im hoping its a rocker arm. I don't

want to do another cam job so soon.

Did you drive it home like that?

Rip her apart, check the valvetrain first and if that isn't it - pull the motor and see whats broken.

Good luck!

No I actually was towed 4 miles to my house. Figured what happened was enough. 75 bucks could save my hundreds later.

well I finally pulled valve covers. i know its been a while, but when it rains it pours. Anyways, no broken rockers, shafts, pushrods. All the rockers from my naked eye seemed to have the same amount of lift.

Im not sure whats going on here, I have a rattle noise comming from the rear. I pulled the stethiscope out and nothing real loud. from intake manifold down to oil pan.

Not sure whats goin on here. Anyone got any ideas? Worst case i can think of is somehow I blew a piston and my car is somehow still running.

Any help would be coool. Thanks

I don't want to hear that. Maybe its a good time to pull the engine and just build the crap out of it, since the cold white stuff is around the corner. Maybe this time I can do everthing right. Roller everything :)
convertor bolts?
I was thinking that, It could be, but the noise seems worse than that.

My buddy just had his flywheel bolts come loose. It sounded like a lower end engine knock. It rounded out all the bolt holes in the flywheel.
