It's all abpyt the 60ft, I ran a 8.62@77MPH and my car is slow, I had a 1.82(around) 60ft.

I used some nitro drag radials 275/50/15
Yeah thats what I have. I just need to get it set up right... thinking about getting a smaller turbo. got the 54 brand new for dirt cheap , wanted to grow into it. But untilI get my spare motor buuilt with ported heads and bigger cam, the turbo is killing me

I also have a 3k stall and a TA33 turbo I'm a hot air on e85. But I'm also running a th400 which has a longer 1st gear. My time is also with the tranny shifting at 4k rpm because I didn't change the governor yet

Im heading out to the track next week hopefully. Gonna get my tire pressure down. Get that boost up over 5lbs hopefully and see what she does

finally took my car to the track and I'm disappointed but I know she's got a better time in her. First time I've ever went down the track actually. My heart was RACING. Rolled right through the lights lol. Backed up , got set or least I thought. Saw green and took off with a shitty 2.3 60' running a measly 13.80 my first pass eve at like 107. Second pass was a shittier 60' at like 2.4 but picked up 2/10's at a 13.60 @ 108. Car ran clean with no knock at 22lbs. Not sure if this 2800 stall is enough and the turbo being too big for stock motor and heads. But I thought I could touch the low 12's. Jokes on me that's for sure.

Joke is certainly not on you, as your trap speed depicts 12 seconds. Every tenth in the sixty foot is two to three tenths in ET, so your launching is the culprit. Your 2800 stall speed is more than enough, some very fast guys on this board running only that much stall speed. Horsepower also affects how much stall. I think you'll do much better the second time out there, and like you said, don't get distracted by all of the know it all's at the track. Race your race...

Thanks man. I'm hoping to get out there again soon. Gonna drop that tire pressure and get the boost built up to atleast 5lbs hopefully.

Get a line lock to let you do a burnout without heating the rear shoes. Find a track where they know how to prep for radials. I've cut 1.54 sec 60ft's on a 235 Radial

Traction isn't my issue right now. It's building enough boost off the line. But closest track is 20 minutes away. Other track is over an hour. I'll be putting up with whatever prep the close track has lol. I start having traction issues, I'll jump to the Mickey Thompsons. I'm just use to when she breaks lose on the street, I gotta remember that I can hold more boost on the track. My heart is racing, adrenalin pumping lol everything I knew went out the window lol. Hopefully next time I'll be a little more relaxed.

Looks like I'm heading to the track tomm night. Hopefully can get her into the 12's. Gonna drop the air in the tires and get that boost built up , race my own race.

As someone else said you're definitely making enough power to run 12's with your mph but don't get discouraged. It's never easy when you're dealing with so many variables. Actually your mph is very close to what I ran last time I went to the track a long time ago. At the time my trans and converter were stock. Basically have all the typical supporting bolt on upgrades but a stock untouched motor (heads, cam, etc.), stock intercooler. TA51 Turbo and switched to a race chip at the track running 20 psi of boost. Lots of knock as a result of no tuning and likely needed higher octane. Anyway, on standard 235 radial tires I ran 12.58 at 109mph with a 2.01 60 foot. Because of my tires I took off with barely any boost and gradually went into WOT once I felt the car picking up traction. You'll get there. Good luck!

Well the disappoint didn't last long. Made my first 11 second pass last night at the local drag strip. This was only my 3rd track pass with the car. Unfortunately I did blow a head gasket. But it was well worth it and I'm not even mad about it.

Good effort but you need to find out what happed. Major reason for the powerlogger. Last thing you want is to do the head gaskets and then have them fail for the same reason.

Agreed. She blew running through the traps. Ordering the power logger as well as new gaskets.

Really?shouldnt be blowing it up at 115mph unles the tune is wrong or fuel system failure.logging is nice and all but I think you should be looking at fuel pressure under wot and your Afr in real time.

Yeah I won't disagree there. I need to look into getting her tuned right . She always ran good and clean with no knock , good pressure and numbers. I just never made a full pass that lasted 1320'. Also think I had some boost creep at the top of 3rd Might have to add a wideband to the list. Hard to watch scan master and fuel pressure at the same time with my sm On the radio deck. Time for me to relocate it to the dash it seems. Needless to say I know I got a lot to learn.

What kind of limits do stock head gaskets have as to psi? She was at 25lbs. Prolly should dial her a touch back and build more boost off the line

Ergo the absolute reason for a Powerlogger.

Along with the Scanmaster, it's one of the best investments you can put into your car if you're going to run it at any track, or on the street, for that matter.

Correct. You cannot watch a Scanmaster during a run. Too much stuff is happening, and you need to be driving the car. Automated logging is key. The Scanmaster only lets you see one parameter at a time, too. That's not enough.

Plus once you have the data, you can overlay it on video and do cool stuff like this:

And for the record, I blew both head gaskets on the lap immediately following this one. But my AFRs were fine and I had no knock retard logged. But I do have a boost creep problem. It hits and holds 20 fine in 1-2, but in 3rd it walked up to 24 and it appears the heads lifted. I'll be pulling it and tearing it down this weekend.

But yes, get a Powerlogger. Without it, you're flying blind.

Get the powerlogger. Start. Logging. And see what is going on with stuff. If you think it is ok, just try the 1/8th mile and shut it down. Btw I have a friend that runs 15# on e85 with ported stock heads. Runs 11.30s all day. He runs out of injector.
