I've seen things saying both ways, just want to make sure...

The specs don't necessarily need to be different. But, it is completely possible they could be played with to control cylinder pressures and temps at particular points in the power band to guard against detonation. Those particular sorts of changes never result in better power though. Well, they could be looked at as making more power if you compared it to a cam that forced some extreme ignition retard to prevent detonation.

Yes the Hot Airs used the same stock cam as the IC LC2 motors.

The only exception was the 84-85 Riviera T-Type which used the old 82-83 carb turbo cam which was reflected in it's factory power ratings. 200HP for the Regal and 190HP for the Riviera.

That's what I thought but I saw a few posts saying otherwise, just wanted to make sure.

Now - the question is, since I have two chips already burnt for a stock camshaft... do I want to step it up to a 206 since it's out and easy to do?
