Hey guys, my GN has been sitting since February. Sometime during the summer, I drained the oil and pulled the filter. I will soon be installing a billet oil filter from TR Customs, refilling the engine with 5 quarts of oil along with some ZZDP. Should I crank the engine over for a few seconds to get some oil through the system, or do I need to pull the cam sensor and reprime the engine.

If it's been sitting since the summertime with a dry crankcase then the engine most likely lost it's prime. I wouldn't risk starting it without priming it first.

Fill your filter full of oil before you install it.

Do that, the pump should have NOT lost its prime.

Kill your computer power and turn it over a few time before starting to verify pressure.

OK, I am taking Nick's advice on this. I will fill the oil filter before firing it up. The billit oil filter I purchased from TR Customs is also my turbo saver. I will use the feed line to the turbo to fill the filer with oil. Thanks for the help!
