Bought a turbo from him http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/threads/1984-hot-air-turbo-for-sale.396560/. When i recieved it it was missing the ex housing and was poorly packed and the result was bent blades. In a PM two days ago he said that the ex housing wasnt included and wasnt in the pics and has had plenty of time to respond to my PM about making this right showing his last log in early this a.m. If you click on the link and view the pic you will see the ex housing and flange in the pic and in the screen shot you can see my response to taking it at $160. Also notice the damage to the turbine blades from the poor packing. It was sent in a medium flat rate box with a piece of paper in the box and nothing to protect the turbine blades from impact. Do not send this guy any $ unless you have a way to dispute the $ sent because you will likely wind up getting porked like i did here. This is the 3rd or 4th bad transaction ive had on here over the years. Dan, you still have a chance to fix this and for your own sake you should asap or you will never be able to sell anything automotive related on any internet forum again without this haunting you. I will edit this thread if you take care of this. Heres the evidence:

Added name to my list. Sorry Brian but thanks for the heads up.
Its important that we post bad transactions so no one else gets shafted.
Damn, my bad list is getting longer then my good list.

He has been sent a PM to contact you about this. If you dont hear from him by tomorrow night, let me know and Ill take the appropriate actions.

Thank you. I basically sent him the same thing i posted in this thread two days ago. He did log in early this morning but i didnt get a response.

He JUST told me this has been resolved. Is he lying to me?

It's not resolved until he compensates 100%. He mentioned he sent the ex housing today. Thats not a complete resolution though. I
Need the one ex clamp thats unique to the 84-85 and the ex flange thats in the pic. The turbine has damage to it and i can no longer use it. See pic on last message:

Always assume that the UPS guys will throw your box around from truck to truck like a football.

And if they wont insure with an improper packing job if something does happen.

Let me know how this turns out. He's getting a long vacation from here but not until you're taken care of.

All boxes need to be packed to withstand repeated drops. I know USPS mail is sorted and conveyered into bins with casters. The drop off is 4". Therefore the boxes need to be packed with a lot of padding or some kind of protection and plenty of tape since other boxes (up to 70lbs) will be falling on top of of your box. The heavier the box the more tape required. Sometimes the boxes look like bags from the repeated drops upon receipt. Thats just the sorting. If the worker is having a bad day they will throw your shit and not care. Ive shipped thousands of heavy parcels and had one damaged that was a result of gorilla handling. Thats not bad at all.

The stupid part in all this is if he would have just left the exhaust housing on and sent it to you as a complete turbo, as would have been expected from the price and pictures in the first place, the exhaust wheel wouldn't have been bent, and this thread wouldn't exist, poop packing or not.

Packed correctly with out either housing would not result in damage to either wheel.

One would thing they would package the turbo right, I mean afterall Bison took the time to write a whole article on it and was made a sticky! Smh...

the funny part is that the housings are a b!tch to get off in the first place. he probably damaged the fins while doing that.

He sent the housing but never did anything about the damaged turbine that occurred because of the housing that was not included in the first place

Be sure to use the new trader system to leave feedback :)

He's been permabanned. We have a pretty slick system here now for detecting puppet accounts so we'll see if he tries to sneak back in.

Is this the donut guy....with the um...large chicks that grenaded the motor?
