This is likely to be a first of a series of posts as I get to the bottom of this.
I rebuilt my 200-4R. It has a PTS deep pan, a PTS shift kit, new seals, clutches, etc. A PTS pressure regulator and a GN servo.
I put in 13.5 quarts. First off, I believe the deep pan needs at least 14 if not 16 quarts, correct?
In any case I wanted to back the car out a few feet and bring it back in.
In park at idle: no TV I get 100 PSI, full TV 200 PSI.
I did not write down the pressure in all other gears. They did not look unsual if a bit high. I can do that test tomorrow.
I put it in reverse and it started clunking as I backed out. Oops!
I put it in drive to bring it back in (10 feet) and nothing!
3 nothing.
2 nothing.
I brought it all the way down to 1 and it happily pulled me back up the drive.
I put it in park and the parking pall did not catch.
I raised the rear. And went through the gears with the rear raised.
When I put it in reverse, the wheels catch and do not move. If I lightly goose the gas, the wheels turn. If I stop the wheels with the breaks, I have to do that again to get the wheels turning. I think I heard some clunking noises.
In D - 3 - 2 - 1 the wheels moved when the rear was raised.
More interesting - in Neutral, if I tip the gas, the wheels go in reverse.
I am guessing I did something wrong when I reinstalled the parking pall rod and/or the manual valve.
I checked my pro-ratchet ****er adjustment, it looked fine.
I did the compressed air test for all the assemblies, they check out just fine.
Any thoughts?
