downpipe gasket

man guys i have been on this neverending search for a downpipe gasket.
ya know the gasket betweem the turbo and the downpipe?

welll i dunno where to look for one, have no ideas what 2 use , so on and so forth...........

my original one i junk and brittle, it seals for crap !!
everything i have found has been too small of a diameter.

can any of you where i can find one? maybe a vendor to call. or possibley you could tell me what exactly you used to seal yours up with? possibly a part number as well?

I personally haven't looked for one...but thats where i would start.

I just got mine from Advance Auto. I brought in my old one and they found me a new one. I don't know the part number though.

what exactly is the outer diameter of that gasket?

i have tried diggin through the bins and boxes and never find the right size

most of them keep coming up short

if it is the "doughnut" gasket for where the DP meets the elbow of the turbo then you are in luck! I have a leaky DP and ppl on here said I needed this gasket so i ordered it from felro, like $20 shipped. I later found out that it does not work w/ my 3" aftermarket DP so I have one unwrapped if you'd like it. Let me know! Steve

It's available at most autoparts stores. For some reason they seem to have it listed only for the 86-87 cars but it's the same gasket. If I remember right it was around ~$12.

just go to the auto parts store and tell them u have an 86 -87
and have them look up exhaust gasket



works great and costed me $8.99
