Driveshaft too short?

I'm working on a hybrid build. I gave the 8.5 rear and 200R4 trans. The Regal driveshaft was too short, so I had mine shortened. I think too much was removed. Doest this look like it will fail? What has surface rust on it is outside the trans output shaft seal.

Its on the ragged edge,so to speak , of being too short.A late GM 4L60E yoke is about 2" longer and will fit splines and u joint. I have them new for $70 if you can't find a used one local

Pumps in the front John. I doubt you'll have any kind of issue with it.
