Why not a Honda S2000, a salvage titled one would make it more affordable.
An old school MKIII Supra would prob work,
or why not a 53-56 Ford F truck (or a Merc truck if you can dig one up!!)

Or a 83- ? x-cab ranger, stretch frame to long bed, do dually fenders, run phantom rear wheel on each side, slam it and roll strong! That'd be VERY different!
