smoke out the breathers? i belive all cars w/ breathers do that. that smoke that is coming out is what the purpose of breathers is. thats crank case pressure.
corect me if im wrong anyone.

the smoke out of the tailpipes on idle? valve guides? rings?

The only reason is was pulled that high was lack of a tach in the car. Kind of hard to kill it when it climbs so fast. :cool:

A little smoke out the breathers is normal, but not enough to fill the shop the dyno was in. ;)

I'm leaning towards turbo right now... the car doesn't smoke at start up and isn't consistent. Seems to smoke after making boost.

I'll do a compression test sometime this week and pull an intercooler hose off.

Doesn't seem to be anything big, it's making good power.



The car will go back on after I sort this out - it will be on radials I will have my laptop with me and the boost won't be so low. :D
 
Great numbers kenny, was this in street or strip tune, ie timing/gas used?

This was with a Red Armstrong 107 chip and Cam 2.

I THINK the timing is 21*. I'd have to look.

Very nice chip though, as the A/F graph shows. :cool:

Next year I'll be legal, we'll have to do it again :D

Smoke from the breathers was about 10 times that. It filled the shop the dyno is in (well not completely, but after two pulls it was pretty smoky in there). I would have had video, if I wouldn't have left the camera in my beater. :o

I have two Red Armstrongs. The one in the car for those pulls was a 107. :)
 
With a cracked converter and 45# fp line off it was trapping 120mph all day long.

Weak 60's due to brake problems (car was pushing) went 11.3000's to 11.2x's.

It's been 10.90@122.

Might have 10.60's in it... needs a girdle and a pump before I push it that hard.
 
Oh - and got a chance to pull an intercooler hose, not a drop of oil.
