Well after 14 months and over 80 transbrake launches I found 2 teeth broken on the side gear (passenger side) of my 30 spline eaton unit after a routine oil change , actually I was preparing myself for worse so finding this wasn't a major deal . Heres a pic...

It makes you wish there was a way to preload the driveshaft before popping the power to it all and shocking the rear end.
 
I always powerbraked a little and held the brake at the line before putting the Stage Right in 1st. Seemed to help.
 
You can keep the driveshaft preloaded. I mounted a microswitch on the shifter so that the switch was tripped only in low (1st). It activated the line lock. I just made sure that I had a load on the driveshaft (slight braketorque) when I engaged the stagewrong transbreak.
