The past 2 days I have had a problem with my car randomly stumbling and throwing a code. Sometimes it will die, other times it will throw a code. The code doesn't ever stay in the memory though. I recorded the powerlogger when it did this and the battery volts to the ecm drop to 0. I have had issues with the powerlogger and randomly dropping the connection. Is it the ecm or the power feed to the ecm? Thanks.

It looks like you are loosing power to the ECM momentarily. All you BLMs' go back to the default of 128. Most likely a bad connection on the orange wire feeding the ECM or a corroded/bad connection at the ECM

Thanks. Pulled the ECM and it has corrosion on the power pins. Going to clean it and solder a new ground for the power logger. From what I've read that seems to be a common occurrence.

Update? Trouble shooting a car with the same issue

After soldering the power logger and cleaning the ECU connector it hasn't done it since. I also packed the connector with dielectric grease which helped the most.

Soldering the powerlogger? I'll clean the connection at the ecm. Car only has 15k miles. Mostly stock but does have a powerlogger

Yea I soldered the powerlogger per turbo bob's instructions. It was because it randomly dropped the connection between the laptop and the powerlogger. The thing that worked for me was the dielectric grease. I cleaned and soldered the connector and it still dropped voltage. After I packed it with the grease it has worked great.

Ok, I'll give that a try
