I know the part number thats compatible with 86-87 TRs is 1227148. I was at the junkyard yesterday and pulled one from a random 86-87 3.8L powered car (I cant remember the model I think it was a '87 Le Sabre) but the part number was 01227148. Can that one be used?

Yes, just take your eprom/ chip and the Cal-Pak (small chip on bottom) and replace with the GN or T-type chips.

Thanks Bob, oh I just ordered a Translator from you...should be here Thursday of next week...cant wait to get that and the LT1 MAF in. Hopefully solve the knock problem that my reman stock MAF has been causing.
