Bought my GN in a non running state and rebuilt the engine over the winter. The only real thing that I changed was eliminating the EGR. Car is on the road now but stalls sometimes when I get into boost and let off the gas.

I would recommend getting a TT chip, Eric will normally use the egr portion of the chip for performance enhancing. Is it all stock or some mod's? What ever you have in mind, you can share it w/Eric and he will inform you of your possibilities. Just don't get too wild before you familiarize yourself w/these cars. Read and ask questions and you will be a very satified gn owner.

Stock long block 42lb inj. fuel pump hot wire CAI/K&N 60mm turbo Dutt. neck air research intercooler no cat exhaust rounds out the mods. Thanks for the info!

Oh yeah, injector change for sure needs a chip or it will run like crap. Turbotweak.com or Bob Bailey chip in the car and you will be amazed!!

Did not change injectors just removed EGR. When running she runs good its just under boost if i close the throttle abruptly she wants to stall.

You're off to a good start. you would need a chip for the 42#ers and 60 mm turbo any how. You can go on turbotweakstore.com and get on the home page. Eric should have some contact enfo there for you. He also has a forum available users.

Yep, Bob Bailey would be another option as both do a great job.

I need to clarify that the car already had the injectors and turbo and mods as purchased. It simply was hurt internally and replaced internal parts with identical pieces. So im assuming that it already has a chip to support these mods or it really would run like crap. Once again the only change was removing the EGR. Is this causing the stalling issue? I also read that the speedo reading could affect drivability dont know if this is true or not but the speedo does bounce around below 20 mph and is 5 to7 mph off reads 37 actual speed is 30. I dont know but any ideas would be appreciated.

ok, then you do have a chip for the mod's. Did youget any codes? the egt block off plate/or filler, is not leaking vacuum? Both the egr removal and the speedo can introduce problems.Have you checked the tps & iac?

I have purchased a new speedo cable I guess I should install it first and eliminate one thing at a time. As for a vacuum leak at the EGR no chance of that I filled it along with a block off plate. I did not replace the iac I could do that after the speedo cable. What is a good reading for the tps sensor?

A scanmaster works great for the tps, if you havent bought one yet (you should have fyi) you can get by with a multimeter to check the settings

Two great sites to help you get up to speed. www.gnttype.com and www.vortex-etc.com You should be able to find more than enough info on these sites. If you have to adjust the tps and/or the iac, keep in mind one effects the other. tps value .46 to 4.60

Sounds like the IAC is not working properly if it stalls. (Idle Air Control motor is located on the bottom side of the throttle body and has a four prong plug) You can also just turn the idle adjustment screw about a 1/4-1/2 turn clockwise looking at the screw head. This will open the throttle blade a bit to allow more air in. Just like turning the adjustment screw on a carb. You can also unscrew the IAC and spray it with carb cleaner and the boss it screws into. Don;t do the "man thing" and try and fiddle witht the valve by twisting it. You can hurt it doing that.
