emblem removeal

is it possible to remove the origial emblems and reuse them after you have the car painted? if so what is the best way to remove and then to reinstall?

You could get some 3M double sided tape if you are going to reuse the emblems. You could try and heat the emblem up with a hairdryer to soften the glue, then spray some WD 40 on it and pry it off easy, could even use some fishing line to help pull it off, once you get it started.

Plastic drywall scraper,won't harm the emblems. Who cares about the paint since cars getting painted. Could even use a metal one.

I used a scrape - wish I had read this first. It worked but I could hear cracking as the thing bent a bit from the pry action
