Any idea what this could be ? Sounds expensive

I can tell you its not the converter bolts.. just finished checking them.

Sounds valvetrain related. For starters pull the valve covers and look for loose/broken rocker arms, anything that might be loose or out of place.

Yeah sounds expensive. Oil pressure getting lower over time?

Hard to tell from a recording, but unless you can definitely tell where it is coming from I would take the accessory belt off and start it just to rule a bad accessory or rattling belt tensioner. Then start looking internal.

Details on the engine?
Balancer loose?
Converter bolts tite and the flex plate loose or cracked?
Oil filter cut and inspected?
SM readings, data logs?
Plugs look like?

I thought I had big troubles deep in my motor and when I started the disassembly I noticed a witness mark inside the driver's side valve cover where a rocker arm was lightly tapping it.
A slight adjustment of the valve cover is all it needed!

If it were mine, what Nigel said above is where I would start.

all the rockers are tight, I'm thinking I might of cracked my flexplate. have to lift it up and do some digging

Keep Lifters in mind in case you get deep into things and nothing shows up, it almost sounds like a few are possibly not pumping up under load.

almost positive I spun a main bearing....

oh well stroker kit here I come

what's weird is that I wasn't beating on it or anything just some pulls here and there

Now the real question is if i do a Stroker do I leave my 6266 or upgrade to a 6466 probably need to swap out converter too

What leads you to believe you spun a main bearing?

Oil pressure loss?

Did you cut the oil filter open and look for bearing debris?
