I bought an 87 gn from dean cassidy on the desciption of this ad and talking to him about it.... and all I can say about him is what a LIAR!!!!

"perfect paint" Reality....Checked in places, rubbed through in several places, lots of small rock chips and a couple spots looked like they painted over water etc.

"rear bumper filler is cracked" Reality...they all needed replaced. Rear was cracked and chunks out of a front and back. They all were so brittle if an ant walked across it it would have fell through.

"not leaking oil" Reality...after it was paid for I was talking to Mike Dopkins in Spokane and he said that a while back he had talked to Dean and he was complaining about the large oilspot under the car so the next time I talked to him he said after he drove it it quit which I thought was bs and I got home about a week after the car got to my house and not to my suprise a soccer ball size oil spot.

"all extra parts included" Reality...When I got home about after I find out some of the stuff he mentioned wasn't there. I didn't write down everything he said but I called and asked about something I did remember and it still isn't here. Then I decided to leave him feedback and I looked at some of his posts and he has been selling some of the parts that were supposed to come with the car.

I could go on but I think everyone is getting the picture.
All in all the paint is what really pisses me off. I don't care if I pay $5 or$50,000 I expect to get it as described period. He just flat out lied about lots of things on the deal.
I am half tempted to haul the car down there and shove it up his a**

Iv'e known Shawn for years and he is an easy guy to please, so when he called me about the car and told me all Dean said it was, Dean forgot to mention the BIG oil leak !! Let me back up here alittle. Before Dean even put the car up for sale I had talked to him on the phone about his lifter sticking in the bore and that's when he told me the whole story about MIke and that's when he also told me the girdle had been installed metal to metal and it was leaking to beat H-LL. He even said with the car parked on his driveway (which is on an incline) that there was oil running clear to the back of the car. Fast Foreward :: He put the car up for sale and Shawn wants it so he calls me and tells me all about it. I told Shawn well h-ll that's the guy I talked to about his lifter problem. Nothing was mentioned about the oil leak as I asked Shawn about it and he says Dean never said anything about an oil leak.
Shawn calls him back and asked him about the leak and he tells Shawn it STOPPED leaking !! I tell Shawn that yes in the pics. the car looks Great!! I HATE pics. and Iv'e always said you can make ANYTHING look GOOD in those damn pics. Shawn realizes he may have to fix the oil leak and lifter problem but with PERFECT Paint and MINT interior and all the other stuff done to the car he goes ahead and buys it. Shawn is NOT a story teller and is WAY less picky than me so I know what he has told me about the car that he is telling it the WAY it is. Shawn's been at this Turbo Buick stuff for along time so he does know what he's talking about. To bad people have to lie about stuff so bad just to sell the car and get out from under it. I hope he does haul it back to Dean and I'll even go with him and help inject it.!!!!

You guys are killing me with all of the threats on here..........

Before Shawn bought the car I strongly suggested to him that he let me send him pictures of the car before buying it, his answer was no........he wanted to get it before someone else. He even sent me $500 that night for a deposit on the car without me asking for it, this was his choice! And I'm no story teller either............I talked with Shawn for over an hour that night on the phone describing every detail of the car, every detail. I can provide my cell phone bill if you'd like to see it. He was so wrapped up in "just getting a car" he made an impulsive decision to buy the car sight unseen. Again, I suggested he wait until he saw pictures but he insisted on buying it this way.

I descibed every detail about the car including the engine issue and the deal going on with Mike Christiansen, I hid nothing from him, nothing!. I even told him to read my posts and threads out there to get up to speed with the whole Mike Christiansen deal. And as far as the oil leak, I didn't lie about it. I decided to drive the car for a week at the advice of a board member to see if the engine noise might just be from something not being "broke in" yet. During this time of driving the car the leak did stop, I'm not lying about that. And then after Shawn called Mike Dobbs and talked to him about the car he called me and asked me about the leak. I did not deny it I told him the truth. I told him that yes it was leaking and once I had started driving it the leak stopped. I also said that I was unsure if it would still be leaking if you did not drive the car. And as far as Shawn saying he found out about the oil leak "After" it was paid for, this is a lie....no money, except the deposit had been paid at this point. If he wanted out of the deal he should have said so then. The loan he got to buy the car wasn't even made to pay off my loan at this point. So this is a lie on his part, plain and simple.

And as far as the rear bumper filler, I told Shawn it needed replaced! I told him this no less than 3 different times that it was cracked and needed replaced!

And as far as the parts included/excluded. I told him that I would include all of the extra parts that came with the car. Nothing was ever mentioned about the Scanmaster. He offered me $13,000 and I included parts we didn't even talk about.....the car cover, the Hypertech thermostat etc.....plus I went ahead and paid shipping on some of the stuff I sent to him. Shawn you mentioned “how did you know I had the Scanmaster?” Um, you probably read my posts where I sold it on here and then thought, hell I should have got that too! I also have 2 M/T Drag Radials I bought for the car not put on yet, did you or were you going to get those, no way! The only part that was discussed and wasn't included in the trunk of the car, because it was covered up in my garage and I forgot it, was the powermaster. I told Shawn I had forgot to set it in the trunk (keep in mind the guy who picked up the car called and gave less than a 12 hr. notice he was getting the car and I was out of state) so 1 part out of all of the other parts was forgotten. As far as a list, Shawn got everything, except the powermaster, that we discussed..........everything plus a few more items.

As far as the condition of the paint, to me the paint was perfect. I entered the car in a car show after I bought it and it won 2nd place in the class it was in. Not too bad for paint as crappy as you are describing. I had also posted pictures of the car on here before and received numerous comments on how good it looked.

So Mike Dobbs, Shawn Miller…….I dare you to come and try stick anything up this boy’s ass, just try it…………

I guess I am just going to take pics of this perfect paint. We'll leave it up to the viewers. If everybody says its perfect paint than I won't say a thing about it. If they say different than you pay for a new paint job. Think about this very hard because I am warning you...once I start posting all the pics of this "perfect" paint you put in your ad there is no one on this board that is going to believe a word you say from here on out so I would think pretty hard before you answer this. It looks great from 15ft. I had 14 pics of the car. Nobody has threatened anybody it is what I feel like doing to make this satisfactory. I thank Mike for chiming in because there aren't alot of people that personally know me and his comments are just supporting me because he knows I have nothing to lie about. I guarantee you if Mike was here to look at the car right now he would have said alot more and you can take that to the bank. I didn't get anywhere with you on the other parts I was suppose to have received with the car why bother calling about anything else. I know from your actions on the phone and on this board that you have no intensions of righting any wrongs and that is why I posted here...to make sure you don't do this to someone else. You said it yourself... I just want this thing gone before I get divorced over it. I should have known right there that you would have said anything to sell the car. And yes the scanmaster ,extra pistons, rods, block and powermaster were all to be included with the car as per our phone conversations all of which I have none. So stop lying and accept some responsibility. Even if you paid to get the car professionaly repainted I would still be pissed off because you lied and nobody in their right mind would say this paint is anywhere near perfect. My last gn had 10 times better paint from the factory and I didn't call it perfect. Your "perfect" and "flawless" comments in your ad really put this into perspective. Do something to fix this situation because after all this I seriously can't see that anyone is going to believe you didn't lie to me to get out from under your car.

Your shipping guy was supposed to give at least 24 hrs. notice, I got 12 and on a weekend I was out of town. My wife did her best to get what parts together she could. We even took a blanket from our son's bedroom and laid down in the trunk to try and keep stuff from spilling on it! So maybe if you had had the guy give me the 24 hrs. notice like we agreed the other parts would have been included.

And who in the hell made Mike Dobbs the speaker on this topic, he has nothing to do with this deal, he hasn't even seen the car as you just said in your post! So fight for yourself you big wuss! I called you today and left a message for you to call me, did you call? Nope..........just the same as the other times before posting, you didn't call! And if I remember correctly the night I tried to fit the engine block in the trunk along with the tranny, the turbo cover, the torque converter....and other parts, it wouldn't fit and I called you immediately to see what you wanted to do about it. You had agreed to just have the block shipped to you and that you were going to pay shipping. I never heard back from you on this..........And you're crazy if you think I am buying you a new paint job. The paint on that car is in great condition and you are being picky. This was a $13,000 GN........If you wanted a GN with new paint, new engine, new tranny and low miles then you should have bought one......then you would be out $20k easily. The car you got was and is a nice car. And for those on the board reading this it was Marc87GN's old car. A lot of you know the car as he was from the New York area. I've even had board members here tell me that they knew the car and how nice it was........You crack me up with trying to make me look like a liar........why don't you just admit you are having buyers remorse on the car and tell everyone that I was honest with you! You need to remember too that someone's perception of something can be totally different than someone else's.............and last time I checked turbobuick.com wasn't a court room. I never asked you to post here, I was never given the opportunity to reply to any problems you had with the car...........so do what the hell you want now. You will get no cooperation from me at this point. You f*cked up by taking it public before talking to me first............enjoy.
