i think i heard in certain instances they do no not have to read suspects their miranda rights.... and this is one of those instances. so as of now i dont think he has any rights until they find out if their are any other bombs hidden anywhere.

1. These guys weren't the 'masterminds' the media is labeling as.... I mean just piece together their escapades after the event. Sheesh.. it's a 'how to guide' of getting caught.

2. There are reports the owners of homes were forced out at gunpoint violating their 5th amendment rights. I hope they asked to search, but evidence so far is pointing to the contrary.

3. Tons of people are willing to overlook civil rights violations because 'the ends justify the means." If so, what do we really stand for as a country when are laws can be arbitrarily ignored?
We have seen many times in the past what happens when 'precedent' is set..

4. It didn't take long for government officials to start demanding the installation and use of more 'surveillance' equipment. Across the board... Once you're watched 24/7 in public how long until you can't go anywhere without wearing your 'gps' chip? I don't think this is crazy/moonbeam talk anymore.

5. These bombings were terrible, but it's happened in our past yet we didn't feel the need to dismantle our rights.. Perhaps its because we now have the technology, or maybe more media coverage, or perhaps we've been duped to believe we can solve every problem.

-Last comment: If the original goal of the America haters were to turn us away from our individual freedoms and cause our politicians to weaken our country to the point we're simply 'Europe West' then they're a lot smarter than I would have thought. They are allowing us to defeat ourselves.

Well, planting the bombs was done with some precision but it all fell apart for them when the pictures came out. It seems they really never thought about an escape plan. Guess they were so arrogant they thought no one would figure out it was them.
I have not heard any reports of police forcing themselves on home owners. If fact my Uncle lives in Watertown and said everyone was happy to see them come by to check under porches and in basements, etc. People were genuinely scared Number 2 had more bombs and would use them.
