extender chip help

I just got an extender chip from a guy on the forum. i put it in my computer and it makes my car smoke, not like its running rich, and is makes my car want to stall. it is made for a bigger cam and i have the factory cam. could that be the problem. i also have the translator. do i have to change any switches in there and do i have to hook up the wire that came with the chip. thanks for ur help

download manual . Make sure switches are set correct.

The DIP switches on the translator need to be set correctly for the extender chip.

1=On
2=On
3=Off
4=Off

If #3 is set to On it will not run correctly with the extender.

Do you have bluetops? What version translator do you have? that chip requires 6.0 or newer

that was it. it idles a little low. do i have to adjust the iac and tps again with the new chip

It should idle slightly higher than stock. You shouldn't need to adjust the IAC or TPS if they were OK before. What is it idling at and what are you using to measure it?

Did you clear the computer after resetting the dip switches.
