Has anyone ever run an external spring on an actuator instead of getting a HD actuator? I have the perfect length spring to accomplish this, I just don't know if it will stand up to the heat. I have the oversize puck from RJC, and ported the hole on my turbo to match it. I can only get enough pressure to get about 22-23 psi boost. This is with the rod tightened all the way, and no hose on the actuator. Turbo is a 6152.

You can always wire the wastegate shut; that'll make more boost :D. Others have used external springs with success though. One way to find out.

I would get a plate so you can re-size the hole. I've added springs to actuators plenty of times.

I also run an extra spring on mine. It's looks ugly but I'm limited to 26psi if I don't have it on.

I actually would like to get a Garrett .63 housing for it. You quoted me a price for one in the past. Then I can size the Hole properly.

to re size the hole on the plate, more boost smaller hole . start with what size hole?

Garrett .63 re-contoured for t350 turbine. Sealing surfaces machined flat:
