External wastegate placement

My question is would an external wastegate be able to properly control the boost if installed on the crossover pipe that joins the manifolds. Thanks in advance for all your replies and help

Yes there has been many that have it there . I would put it right when it starts turning up to the passenger side connection . There u can dump to atmosphere or throw it back in the Downpipe .

I have 2 turbonetic delegate wastegates on the crossover, bought the car like that. Its old school but works. Eventually I want to get a downpipe with a wastegate on it.
