hey all,

im new to the turbo buick game.

are the f-41 lower front tubular factory braces (monte ss,olds 442,etc. with v-8's) that attach near center on the lower front of the engine crossmember and run up and forward to the frame rails near the core support points, standard from the factory on an 87 g/n.

thx jerome

not standard, and not even a factory option. Buick left a lot of weird pieces out of the turbocharged Buicks that were put in other less impressive G bodies- the bracing you mentioned, the "Grand Prix" bar that ties the front frame horns together, fender braces, the "GNX" brace behind the rear seat that was more or less stolen from the Grand Prix parts bin, body mounts..
i wonder if they left the body flexible so they could get the stiffer suspension under it and still get a ride quality that was up to Buick standards..
