I've done lots of reading and many swear by this radiator even with a FMIC. That’s fantastic however anyone having issues with tanks blowing off? Yup I want to install this on a low 11/high 10 sec FMIC car.

It's possible but certainly not probable. In the event of a blown head gasket and then only if the pressure cap fails or can't vent the excess pressure fast enough. I know Otto has seen it happen but certainly not a common occurrence. I ran that radiator for years with no issues, it's a great lo-buck upgrade.

I had many and never once blew apart. They did seep like a mofo and slowly separated though. I got smart and bought an alradco. Best money spent.

I bought an 84 Camaro in late 95 as a fixer. While driving it late in the spring of 96 the drivers side top of the tank blew out. Very unusual but I've seen other plastic/aluminum radiator do the same thing after several years. The plastic usually discolors before it does this though.;)

I bought a champion aluminum 3 core radiator. $200 bucks, car never goes over 180 degrees with the AC on. Running a percision front mount. A little more than the F body rad but I didn't like the plastic side tanks.

Never seen one blow apart but more prone to leaks in the crimped area around the plastic tanks.

IIRC it has all the same stock dimensions so it should fit. You might look into getting rid of that fan/clutch. There is a lot of parasitic drag there. You can actually feel the engine rev quicker after converting to an elec fan.

Got a set brand new off ebay for $80 bucks. Racetronix harness is a must, the stock plug gets way too hot without it, really puts full power to the fans

Anyone know the dimensions of the stock radiator?

I might just go f body radiator.

Don't have stock dimensions off the top of my head but the f body will fit. I think all I had to do was move the rubber isolators outboard on one side, but the holes in the core support are already there. Easy swap.
