Guys,
I've got a fiberglass hood I removed from my car that I'd like to get rid of. It bolts to the stock hood hinges, and uses all the stock latch etc. I have added the hood latch pin and pop-up spring, low-tension glass hood springs, and mounted a very nice hood insulator with the Buick Logo. It is currently painted black, but there a re issues with the fit of this hood, which is why I took it back off. While the front half of the hood fit well, the back half near the fender needs work. As you can see in the pix, the hood edge sits about 1/4" too low relative to the fender line on both sides. The edge area of the hood is warped down too much. Also, although the hood is painted, the surface prep was none too good, and the black paint has shrunk showing much of the sanding scratches, the hood pin hole repairs, etc. I bought this hood off ebay a couple of years ago in this condition, and after using it for a while, I've decided it too much work for me to fix. My loss is your gain. This hood would be great for someone with a track car or who has the time to invest in fixing the warped edges and prepping it for repaint. I don't want to ship, I live in zip code 94582, and I think this will fit in the bed of my P/U so I might be able to deliver in the SF area. I can take more pix if you PM me your email addy, but the hood is not on my car anymore. Asking $250 as is, with the insulator pad and hood shocks included. You will need to reuse your hood latch safety mechanism, and hood shock mounting brackets. Thanks for looking..
