The reason for being a paying vendor is really pretty simple. The vendors that are here pay to have their name on the board to advertise what they sell. If you want to sell multiple new items that are identical ( even just three fender covers ) you should have to play by the same rules as the paying vendors...OR sell your items to a paying vendor and let them sell for you.

Even those people who only advertise 3 new identical items may get hundreds of orders via PM without ever advertising again.

I do not know what it costs to become a vendor here, maybe it is out of reach for most, whatever the case, rules are rules and i would have to agree with them.

Bryan

I not trying to step on any ones toes here also I am VERY GREAT FULL for the vendors we have. Now having said that I am not running a business my wife made me a fender cover and she wanted to know if I thought if anyone on here would want one. I said I am sure someone would buy some so she made 3 of them up.

Now lets look at something here.I may sell Hundreds chances are slim but may. What about all the people on here that buy cars just to strip them down and sell all the parts are they made to be a supporting vendor? How much money can be made just by stripping down one car?So as long as the part is used you do not have to be come a vendor? What about people that have bought several cars and parted them out on here are they vendors?I know rules are rules. Having said that I have not even sold the first one and already being told that I need to be come a vendor. We do not have a web site nor a store front.I do not want to sell them on E-Bay.

So now its up to Shane if he is going to make me become a vendor or not.
Rules are rules I know. Its just not very fair that I have one thing to offer and have not sold the first one and getting a bunch of slack about it.I can part my car out on here make thousands of dollars and no one would BITCH the first time.:rolleyes:

I bought my fender cover from Bill & Barbara b/c they've been supporters of this community for as long as there's been a Buick internet community.
You couldn't ask for nicer people to do business with and they're always coming up with new items for our cars.
If you want to do business with non professionals just to save a couple of bucks and have a product that doesn't have the GN logo, nobody is going to fault you there but then without the logo on the cover it's just another Monte Carlo IMO.

I think you guys are getting a little carried away with all of this. Looks like a good fender cover and not a huge marketing item. He has 3 for sale, BIG DEAL. When I get back from this deployment Shaun I will come out your way and pick one up. Bump for a hard working good guy.

Thats a **** way of looking at things and a reason why people try to avoid this board. if i have 3 turbos new, i cant sell them because im not a vendor and there are vendors that do sell them. makes no sense.

anyway cool product, ill look you up when i pull my motor for its build.

Very valid point and I wish more can be done in that area myself. This very thing happened to me too and I just bit the bullet and payed the fee's. I was even selling an item that NO BODY offered (LED taillights) and that still wasn't okay. I wasn't hurting any vendors sales with those but still got bashed for doing it and here we are today as a vendor. I can relate to both sides as I for one have been there before!

I sent you a PM over your fender covers! ;)

Saun,

It was nice talking to you today and we look forward to carrying your products. The fender covers are of "Profesional" quality and made from quality material, Sewen french seams and made with More screen area for pulling more air, Lower price, that price even includes the storage bag AND Shipping too!!! Hard to beat this item... No need to worry about a logo either, we will be testing out our screenprinted copyrighted V6 logo for the screen portion but then again this isn't made for entering in shows or anything, it's for working on your car for god's sake!

Look for this product on the GNS Performance web site in the next couple of days!

I don't understand why it is a **** way of looking at things, i didn't make the rules, I don't enforce the rules, but the rules ARE there for everyone. I am not saying I agree with the way people are made to become paying vendors as I think there should be SOME kind of a tier for paying vendors. How this would be accomplished I don't know. It's not my board, so Shane gets to make the rules.
If you look at my original statement I pointed out the alternative purposely.

We are excited and looking forward to this venture. I think you've come up with a great plan that can benefit us all - you with a new product, us with a marketing venue, and your customers with a great fender cover at an "greater" price.

You are quite accurate in stating that these fender covers are of a professional quality. All covers are sewn with a top of the line industrial machine which is made to sew vinyl and leather - this ain't ya momma's Singer. Extra care has been taken to ensure a quality product - we only use industrial grade heavy poly thread (same stuff used in upholsterying boats and car seats). The grommets are attached to the cover using heavy duty straps - we've included this extra step to ensure the grommet does not pull through and rip your vinyl. The cover comes standard with an extra large screen for the front, a side pocket for stashing away small things like your cell phone or your smokes, a vinyl storage bag, and all the 3 cap nuts you'll need to install the cover.

I can guarantee you that you will be satisfied with the quality! We are looking forward to working with you. Can't wait to see our cover in the "big lights" on GNS Performance.

Earlier in the thread someone asked, Do you have one with a cut out for the emblem on the header panel for the t-types?

I don't believe this question was ever addressed.

I also have an 87 T and this option would be beneficial.

Looks nice ! I have one of the untimate fender covers from Turbo Bill I assume. I ordered it from Brian at Gbody. Its is a very nice cover but I do like some of the things you added to yours as well like the front snaps !!!!!!!!! Very good idea ! Mine was 225.00 back then with no storage bag plus shipping. If I didn't already have one I would be hollering at you. Not all of us just have turbo buicks also so thats something you may want to check into. I know I will be wanting on before long for my wifes 87 monte SS. Daniel
