Factory Oil Fill Tube Finish?

I've got a factory oil fill tube that I would like to redo. It's scratched and beat up, but still has most of it's original paint. I can't tell exactly what color or type of paint it was painted with originally though. What color is the factory oil fill tube supposed to be? Most of the ones I see now on these cars appear to be very light gray or whitish gray and I'm not sure if that is how they originally came or if it's faded and deteriorated over time to this color .

It was a light dove grey, kinda matched the plastic fill cap color
not sure what the GM color name/# is
