INCORRECT! I HAVE BOUGHT AND SOLD FROM AND TO HIM IN THE PAST AND NEVER HAD AN ISSUE!!

Yea right Mr Manny Personalities:rolleyes:

Its a fake shield and you got pissed when I called you on it....

Go rip more uninformed ebayers...

And anyone who thinks repro'd GNX parts are "close enough" to sell as orig is a crook, period.

who really cares they are not sweet enough for me to want to spend that kinda money on them. i think the seller should have stated that it was a repo if it is and thats about it but somebody bought it and if they are happy with what the spent and recieved then it souldnt be anybodies problem right?

x2

Mentl, what's up with the all caps then capitalizing every word in a sentence?

If you want to see the real Broke1 attitude towards other please look at his past replies to others when he was trying to sell one and what he thinks it is worth but knocks mine that sold for $300. less not to mention I have been contacted from the winning bidder and he told me that you emailed him right after the auction. It looks like someone is pissed theres didnt sell so they threw rocks at someone elses house.

Ill put a picture up when it goes on ebay and I get top $$$

This was a limited run made a few years back of I think 200??Made off of the ASC blueprints that Joe aqquired.Do a search...

You cannot even buy ANY new turbo sheild for a TR ,much less a GNX sheild.

Was the GNX Turbo cover made out of aluminum or the steel like the factory GN cover? Just think 200 extra GNX turbo covers, you could have 200 extra GNX GN clones out there. Will you post some pix please. I am thinking about a GNX turbo cover for my car.
Thanks

The originals were steel with a light cermatic coating on them that tends to wear off it's so thin. I don't know what they did on the repo ones.

For the reproduction ones Joe used silver spray paint. Looking at the top of the shields it is hard to tell a reproduction one from a Factory one but on the underside there is a noticeable difference in the construction. They are all made from steel and if I remember correctly production was much less than 200.

Its wrapped up in storage and if I dig it out for pictures,it will go on ebay.Unless you want to send a non refundable deposit for a pic

I dont think anyone could tell the difference when looking at them from the top.I mean it was made off the ASC blueprints....

How can you ask for a deposit that is non refundable? You are asking a pretty price for an item that is unseen. Please unrap the cheese ball so the buyers can view what is being sold. Also post some pix. Thanks

Im pullin your leg

A repro sheild looks just like a GNX sheild. The only difference you can tell is the real GNX sheilds have a better weld on the inside.Made to OEM specs. Those in the Buick community that knew Joe Harrington knew he was about quality.

Dont be an idiot, you accused me of ripping a friend of yours off in your PM.

And yes,I had a problem with you so I picked up the phone and called you, instead of hiding behind a computer like the nerd you are.I said you dont know me,have never had dealings with me,and can ***** off.No denying it on my end.

Ill post up some vids of me and your wife screwing.....very funny to hear her scream

Ill bet $$$ youve never even seen one of these sheilds or know anyone who has.....

Then for you to tell me in a PM "youre barking up the wrong tree kid" What a dumb ass.

wow you got me i am really sorry now...

....put the link to the videos on youtube so everyone can see how small your dick is...her screaming was really laughter..

now that you mention it, i just finished the conversation about this with my wife and we will be having a DNA test to determine if it is yours...if so you will be forking out money for childsupport so you better hope it is not yours if you really own an E55 i think i will take it for downpayment on the child support...

you instantly insulted my family (perhaps yours) then deleted it and sent the pm, so i pm'd you about dealings you had with ryan from a post a long time ago...public information here.. get your facts straight ....
nerd is the best you can do... again i am really sorry...

At least you got 1 thing right,DNA test.

Why not try the "youre barking up the wrong tree kid" routine?

I damn near spit soda all over my computer when I read that, what an idiot you are.

You insulted me 1st,then I insulted you.If youre gonna throw it out there,be ready to catch it right back.

Why not just admit that your comment "buyer beware" was intended towards me(at least according to your PM it was) OR are you gonna stick with your lie of "I was saying be carful about those sheilds"

So which is it?

X Rated, Thank very much for posting some pix. For some reason i started a collection of turbo covers. It looks like ALOT of workmanship/skill went into the construction of the cover. Those GNX covers are very nice!!

PS. TurboRegal84, Is it possible to delite the undesirable comments posted earlier? Thanks

If a repro is worth $1250 how much is a real GNX turbo shield worth?

I cut it because I wanted a GNX shield on my car, but If I had an external wastegate I would not have. I bought a repo for $250 to cut so I didn't have to modify the original. My dad also bought and cut one for his car. If I knew at the time they would appreciate $1000 I would have bought all that Joe Harrington had. This is an easy fix to put it back right and it doesn't look that bad on a car with or without a TH downpipe.

I paid $450 for mine and it was supposedly the last one Joe had...this was about 3-4 years ago.

Even the DC Tech sheilds sold for $400+....If you paid $250,that was a steal!

Its wrapped up in storage and if I dig it out for pictures,it will go on ebay.Unless you want to send a non refundable deposit for a pic

I dont think anyone could tell the difference when looking at them from the top.I mean it was made off the ASC blueprints....

Here are some pictures of mine so lets compare. Not 100% sure if its a original or a repro but I'm sure we will soon find out.

What's being left out is the email from what he's stating is his first email to what he's saying was my first and only reply. He asked for a picture of the underside which wouldn't of been a problem but I also got a B. S remark about trying to stick it to the uninformed. My auction states out right it is a 1987 87 Buick 3.8 TURBO GNX HEAT TURBO SHIELD COVER , 1987 3.8 Turbo 231 V 6 GNX T-TYPE GN GRAND NATIONAL, In the description it says this auction is for one used cover that will fit Buick turbo cars and GNX. Bought it at a swap meet and decided not to use it. No where in the auction did I state it was an original or a copy. Which Broke1 has yet to point out in all his words. I looked at his feedback on ebay before replying to his 1st email to make sure I wasn't wasting my time. I noticed that he had 5 negatives and 1 neutral. My auction states no bidders with high negative I blocked him and sent this saying BLOCKED ;).Which obviously upset him. After receiving his second email which said WHat that mean??Trying to stick it to the uninformed ebayer?TR guys. I responded saying those that can read know what there buying its all in the auctions description and title of the auction nothing hidden and nothing falsified. Where it came from and what it is there buying. And it also says ask any questions before bidding not after. What I got in reply from him was ( Well see when I post on the Buick boards who you are;)You ought to be ashamed for trying to rip off the uninformed,if it were real, you wouldn't mind taking a pic of the bottom of it.) I typed fast is why "whatS that mean" dumb ass. Dont worry,I will post it on all of them, sue away bitch!!hahaha- drew231v6

This is where my reply that he is showing came from it was not my first answer to his emails it was my last after dealing with his attitude over and over saying he's going to post all over about me on something I never said in my auction that it was an ORIGINAL part is says gnx turbo cover in which it says on it. What did he expect me to say ford turbo cover. It says what it fits and never said it was off of car number#@@ of 500 and something G-NXs. And yes my wife is a lawyer and not everyone is an ambulance chaser those that seem very much not to have a good remark always say something like this about them. When they think this is the only law field out there. Then you get a remark on here that One day, someone will rearrange his teeth, and then his ambulance chaser wife, will have a reason to go to court. With remarks like this you I wonder if Chuck Leeper has the same attitude as broke1. This is like saying all mechanics are grease monkeys or that everyone that owns a garage is out to screw the customer. It sounds like an uneducated response. I think you should all look at the feedback of drew231v6 on ebay before you past judgement on me it seems his feedback speaks for his actions towards other ebayers and from where he feels his emails to me have to be treats to me as a seller and to post everywhere about me. Look at his 89 feedbacks in 6 years and 5 negatives. Where I have done almost 1300 positive feedbacks in 7 years and 38 positive just in 1 month. I wonder just how many people you think are uninformed at what I am selling.

Give me a freakin break dude. You deseptively posted the ad on Ebay. You keep saying that "nowhere in the ad does it state ORIGINAL" but you do say "the original owner took it off the car" which to me means off of a GNX as the ad states it is a GNX shield. This is just a simple lesson to everyone to watch your ass around these screwballs. $950 for a fake sheild, OH MY GOD! If you were an honest seller, you would have stated in the ad "REPRODUCTION." Go sell your crap on Ebay and stay away from this site. We dont need people like you on this board.

I took the ad as being for a cover that was originally on an original GNX....

here is a reply he sent somebody i know on ebay that had a question about the shield,
asking if it was a OEM GNX shield

I dont know if its is or not I bought it of the original owner so I would think it is but not having one to compare it to I dont know I have never seen another one up close. From what I have seen in the past these sell for $1000.-$1800. and above.

Herb, that shield looks really nice, what kind of coating did they come with from the factory?

FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE MAKING UP YOUR OWN AUCTION DESCRIPTIONS.. I CUT AND PAST THE ACTUAL AD!!

This auction is for one used cover that will fit Buick turbo cars and GNX. Bought it at a swap meet and decided not to use it. The original owner upgraded to a big turbo and didnt want to mess with it. So he modified a stock one.

It is very clean no damage or dents to it. A couple little marks in paint but easily repaintable if you wanted to get picky.

This is one Very hard item to find.

Please dont ask my reserve. Thank you

SOMEONE WANT TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHERE IT SAYS THE OWNER TOOK THIS ORIGINAL GNX COVER OFF HIS ORIGINAL GNX AND SOLD IT.!!! I'D LOVE TO SEE IT.. FUNNY I DON'T SEE IT HERE!!

THIS GUY IS AN HONEST SELLER AND FOR SOME REASON THIS HAS TURNED INTO A MESS. PEOPLE KEEP DREAMING UP THESE ALTERNATE ADD'S AND TWISTING AND TURNING HIS DESCRIPTION. HE DID NOT HAVE PICS OF OTHER GNX TURBO COVER'S TO COMPARE IT TOO, THEREFORE HE DESCRIBED IT TO THE BEST OF HIS KNOWLEDGE!! THE ACTUAL DESCRIPTION IS RIGHT ABOVE..

CHECK MATE!!!

i cant tell the difference. so can one of the resident experts please confirm ...REAL OR FAKE?

1987 87 Buick 3.8 TURBO GNX HEAT TURBO SHIELD COVER

Buick GNX HEAT, TURBO SHIELD, COVER

forgot about this says gnx in the description too so that does make it somewhat misleading.

LOL, HAVE YOU BEEN DRINKING?? THOSE ARE KEY WORDS IN THE DESCRIPTION TO ATTRACT BUYERS..

GO TO EBAY AND TYPE IN GNX.. ALL KINDS OF MALIBU, MONTE, GRAND PRIX, STUFF TURNS UP..

TRY AGAIN!!!

THIS IS GETTING FUNNY NOW!! YOU GUYS ARE DIGGING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL. LOL:D

PS: WHAT DID YOU WANT HIM TO SAY IN THE TITLE. IF I READ RIGHT. IT SAYS GNX ON THE COVER ITSELF.. PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME WITH YOUR PORTRAYAL OF A PROPER DESCRIPTION FOR SAID ITEM..

im not trying to be a dink i just looked at it and saying it could be misleading to someone but if the buyer is happy with then oh well. no where does it state that it is real or a replica so its not that accurate of a description and you cant disagree with that.

And why are so on this guys jock so hard?

Let This Be A Lesson To All. Wether Its An Ebay Item Or Other. Please Do Your Research Before You Buy. If You Have Made A Mistake, Don't Take The Easy Road And Blame It On The Seller. If Someone Was To Pass Away And Say Thier Wife Had To Sell Thier Stuff. And Say It Was A Gnx Turbo Cover, Would You React The Same Way? The Guy Didn't Know The Difference And Was Honest With His Responces. And Not Missleading.
I Hope We Can Move On With The Lifestyle And The Cars We Enjoy Most. The Buick Community Is A Small Community. You Get Your Name Once And Only Once. I Believe In Honesty. And Only That.. Funny How A Simple Ebay Aution Can Turn Into This.
