His car may be lightend some but its definately not very light or gutted. It has Weld Pro Stars but it has the heavy M/T sportsman fronts and drag radial rears so those are not that light. The interior is all there except for maybe the back seat(I saw it Friday night but didn't look to close) and the body is all stock with no fiberglass(other than factory stuff) parts so i can't imagine its too light. I do think it has a pretty short single exhaust on it so that is some weight savings. The 10.30 run was early in the spring with the CPT-66. He hasn't gotten a good pass with the new turbo yet but he did say it felt stronger with the new turbo.

Yeah CPT-66 is the 6665 in P-trim. He has 4th Gen seats I think along with manual steering box out of a S-10 if I am not mistaken which are lighter. He has a nice custom intercooler too!

I had to fight myself not to buy his TTA when he had it for sale a while back! Nice whip.

What turbo did he end up going with PTE 67?
 
I've got no doubts it will go into the 9's as long as the motor doesn't blow. :biggrin: It's got a lot more power than it did when it went 10.3's judging seat of the pants.

It hasn't been lightened significantly. Still has the stock steel hood, k-member, control arms etc. I am just running an alternator for now though because it makes it so much easier to work on.

The vacuum line came off the FPR last Friday at the track and it blew a head gasket, so I can't verify 9's.

I believe it's already the fastest Stock head, stock block TTA on pump gas. It's got stock intake, throttle body, rods, crank, and even still has the stock valves in the heads.

What about the cam, is it stock too? If not what are the specs.... :biggrin:
 
.....cause i just opend up my new project agin ..... i know noone has ever been in the 9's

Word on the street is we're going to try for the 9 sec. zone by the TB.com Nats, spring 2012... Too bad Piedmont isn't 1/4-mile, we may have to hit Zmax Dragway that weekend as well.
