TR, I was outrunning a SHO once with the tops out, and showed a whole "85"
Then the windshield broke on both sides.

SixPak Super Bee, was wrapping back around the 150 speedo torward zero again! Had to watch the road crunched down in the seat looking under the hood, cuz the big mailbox scoop had it bowed up so hard I couldn't see over it anymore! Realized later that the jerky feeling was the front tires skipping along and touching ground every so often. With enough horsepower, even a brick will fly!

Clocked, 153mph with a 76 R/T. Thankfully the deputy was my neighbor at the time. Boy was he Excited! He threatened to tell my dad but didn't!

Did 85 MPH in my ten second GN at the drag strip. I know this cuz I was looking at the speedo.

Did 92 MPH in a 72 VW Bus. Note: For those of us that have had an old Bus over 75 mph, understand that It's like having your Turbo Buick at about a buck sixty.

I call BS on this one! Ain't no way that thing can do 90 on those monster 13" wheels! That thing is scary at 65 on the interstate in nowheresville indiana! I felt safer topping out a smart car at 70 on I-95 in the middle of rush hour in Miami.

Two of the scariest weren't at really high speeds.

I went 70 on by boss's turbo jet ski. I hit some waves and thought I was going off of it.

The speedo in my 1966 Ford truck buried somewhere over 100. Then I learned about drum brakes when I tried to stop for an upcoming T intersection. I had both feet on the brakes, my butt off the seat and was pulling on the steering wheel to put all the force I could into it. I got it stopped and never did that again in a truck that was older than I was.

I have to say thanks to Cal for his hospitality and allowing me to pilot his personal jet ski. It sounds like a GN and it has 400hp. OBTW, he has been over 90 mph on that ski.

I'm pretty sure you guys had fun, my alky control tank was almost empty! Nothing like 20+psi of boost at 9000+rpm :biggrin: Next time I'll take you guys to the twisties and when chase gators

165+ in a 89 TTA trying to catch my buddy racing a supra in his pro charged built to the hills 351 mustang. This was with the t-tops OFF on I-15 out of Vegas heading to California. We must have been off and on the gas for 15 miles or so and they would pull me every time we actually stopped completely on the highway a couple times and ran 3 wide. I would pull both cars badly untill a 1/4 mile or so, then they were gone! Granted this was years ago late at night on weekdays so NOBODY was around. Nowadays you can't do stuff that that anymore.
