Just curious as to what some people are running in street trim esp. + size wheels. What rims, size , tires size brand...suspension mods....thanks,joel

I know you asked for 16+ sized rims but.... Im running regular radial ta wheels 275/50/15 right now on t-type wheels. Best pass I could get with 3 passes was a 11.91 at 117mph forget what the 60 was think it was a 1.8x left with zero boost.

My car with a te44 and non roller cam but most of the other crap in the sig went 12.05 at 117 with a 2.15 60ft on 285/40/17 nitto street tires and 11.7ish on 315/35/17 nitto drag radials with a 1.75 60 ft.

ive ran a 12.1 and 114mph trap speed with 18s and a ZERO Boost launch.... stock heads, small flat tappet.... i hope to tune it... once we get decent weather and a day off.... hopefully 11s soon before i start messing with the long block

how do you like the nittos?

I ran a 12.3 at 110 mph with stock motor, TE44 and alcohol. I was running 255-50-16 Sumitomo HTRZ street tires. Somehow I got a 1.87 60'.

This wasn't the exact run, but I bet it looked something like this ... :D

285 35ZR18 Toyo T1Rs [real street tires....;)]

Look into Falken Azenis tires. I run them on my Stage 2 car on the street and they hook. A lot of Autocross guys use these on their cars because they are sticky and seem to last for street use. I havent run my car so I dont have times.

the best i have ran is a 1.62 60fts at a 7.08 1/8 mile here with a 295x50 street tire not drag radial... and the car is for sale if anyone interested.

This is my old car 79 malibu with GN drive train and 3.08 gears.
1.62 60ft
11.21@128
315/35/17 nitto with 12psi of air

That's pretty quick. Was that w/ 555r's? I'm looking at the toyo tq's there cheaper and make a 315-35-18...toyo and nitto are made by the same company so I figure ill givem a try..... and the mustang guys are seemin to like them...

i like this topic. real world results.

Ive gotten 1.52 60 fts with a 275/40/17 M/T Drag Radial running mid 11's
On real street tires which where the BFGoodrich KDSW 245/45/17 my best is an 1.80 with many 1.82.

GN with 18" rear wheels I went 11.90 at 116, true street summer performance tire. I think the car was spinning most of the way down the track

All on my 16x8 GTA wheels and 23psi boost

Street radial Goodyear F1 GS-D3 245x16 netted typ 1.8x-1.9x 60' and best of 1.78 60' 11.70@118

Nitto 555R drag radial 255x16 netted typ 1.8x 60' w/ best of 1.76 60' 11.52@117

M/T drag radial 255x16 netted typ 1.6x w/ best of 1.56 60' 11.37@116

So clearly you can deduce that the slower I go the quicker my ET:biggrin:
...or maybe that cutting sixty-foot times really does help
Hummmm, me thinks my stock heads are seriously choking my trap MPH:eek:

Mastercraft 275/40/17 ZHP. Dropped tire pressure to 27, edelbrock adjustable uppers, boxed lowers, couple hundred extra lbs balast in the trunk, 12.33 with a 1.69 60ft.

GTA wheels, 67 turbo with 55's and pump gas. Rolling out of the box and then on and off through wheelspin 12.24 118 MPH. BFG Comp T/A's but I'll tell you scary at the top car felt snaky!!!
