Not to steal your thread but you've yet to come within at least 100hp of what I was making on my stock, UNOPENED, 85,000mi, BUICK motor. Are you scared of a comparable Chevy V6, Mr. Tire King? BTW, your motor DIED("racing" a 4cyl import )...(have you no confidence??) a mere 6 months after mine. And to think you could have been running 11's capable this whole time and still blown it up!... :biggrin:

yes sir you are correct. it was probably getting gradual knock but i wasnt paying attention until it blew :biggrin: .

Breakage sucks period

change the gasket
maybe port the heads
then
take it to the track so you can watch the scanmaster and not worry about cars pulling out in front of you.

audible knock detector works good if you cant watch the guages
