Finally hit 11's with pump gas

11.88 @ 113 mph. This was at the GMHTP shootout yesterday in NJ. Ran a couple of 12.0 before getting it on my last run.

Mods: 44, Blue tops,old school Duttweiler (sp?) front mount, THDP, extender chip and trans +, 2.5 dual exh., 2800 stall 9/11, JJ TB with hemco plenum, BstC, plus the basics I guess.

Oh yeah, SMC dual nozzle kit.

Car turned 100K on the 170 mile drive down. Didn't check the pressure in the 255 BFG drag radials (16"). I try and run them at 25 psi all the time , so that's probably what it was. Conditions were good, I'm guessing around 60 degrees or so.

Alky mix is close to 85/15 denatured an water with some Klotz lube. Turn on point 16#. Pump speed 9.5. I locked the converter early, just before third I think. Sorry about the vague details, but I'm not very scientific with this stuff.

Made 7 passes and drove home. Drove home very happy that is.

One more mod. I do have the Champion AC delete pulley setup... With 2 bolts missing

I left a couple of things out. Boost was a little high of 24, but not yet 25. Timing was 21/19 (trans plus 17/19 base plus 2 WOT). O2's down around 730 at the traps. Zero knock.

My O2's always drop off at the top end. More than most people recommend. I have a feeling that the 36ers are out of juice by then when squirting 94 octane. I do have a set of 50's thet will go in for next season. I also have a feeling that the SMC kit is at it's max. I'm waiting for the upcoming Razor kit. Must have more alky!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm. Bell not ringing yet. I can't quite remember anything about that event. I usually remeber white ones too. Need more info.

i'm going to change my sig in a minute, but i felt like my fellow alcoholics should know first before i made a post. i hit 12.08@111 on 22 psi of boost, 25 psi in my street tires, alky and pump gas friday night at rockingham during a test and tune.

Good work! What were your 60ft times and do you have any suspension work or trans brake ? Also, how are you launching with the BFG's(big burnout, launch boost, etc) Do you have to feather the gas the first few feet out of the hole or just floor it. I'm really trying to get my 60ft. technique down on DR's and sounds like you got it figured out.

My first few runs I had trouble hooking up. I was just barely cleaning off the tires because I heard drag radials didn't like big burnouts. But the bigger burnout I did the better I hooked. Nithing crazy just a few seconds of spin and roll out. The track got a little warmer too so that porbably had some effect on my short times, which by the way my 11.88 run was 1.73. Suspension is stock. No airbags or snubber.
