I have come to relize that when people tell you to go and FU** yourself that it means to buy a Hot Air Car
Let you Know

lol...Well, I would rip that thing apart. I have a block in my garage with just the insides left in it. I plan on buying the speed pro 204/214 split cam. I hear they are real good for our cars, and I want the TC, rockers, and lifters to match. as for the heads and intake, port-em to the max!!! I found my intake with the work already done from www.IWINENGINEERING.com. From the looks of things, they seem to have done an excellent job. As for the heads, I am trying to put the funds together to get a set from www.arizonagn.com. Nick Micale is in charge there, and I have never heard a complaint from his customers yet. So, you can go that route, or if ya want a nice 14 sec car, leave the motor alone. I think that turbo you have needs the breathing room in that motor tho, so you decide! lol...good luck, and send pics if you can! Thanks!

John

i'd change:

-the front and rear main seals(neoprene)
-cam/lifters
-ported heads/intake
-timing chain
-hv oil pump kit

leave the bottom end alone, unless you find some junk in the pan...

I bought this car 5 years ago with engine out and parts scattered ,sent long block out for 3000.00 over haul and it failed within the first 200 miles during the breakin period ,took it out and found out that it was assembled incorectly so many mistakes (A TIME BOMB)now today i waited anxiously from 8:00 am and finaly it arrived at 2:12 pm and it was everything and more than what i expected .But then i took a closer look and it was droped off the back of the truck at least thats what I think, off of one of those retractable hydraulic gates , the driver side valve cover is missing the left rear corner ,the power steering resovior is smashed ,the last spark plug on left is broke clear down to metal and tomorrow i will take a good look after i gunk it down and power wash it. Im convinced that this car does not want an engine in it ,its one catastrophe after the next ,now you can understand my disgust with this chunk of **** .Im putting this engine in as is with my stock turbo and running it ,then im going to test drive it ,and then if i like what i feel .I will then sell it as far as the new turbo , i will either sell it or go the rout that you guys recomended ,IM SICK TO MY STOMACH (WITH THIS 13,000 DOLLAR NIGHTMARE) That still needs to be rebushed and repainted  No! Wait! keep putting more $$$$$ in this pit ?and when im done i can sell it for $3000.00 Gas is smellin pretty good

Thanx for your support Guys , Man do i need it
Thanx again :o

This Old Slug

Hey Guys Im in a Much better Mood
I have a love hate relation with this car ,its got my hard earned money in it and its calling for more ,now i have the engine all cleaned up on a stand ,i repaired the broken bolt in head from vallve cover being crushed,Ready to install as a driver. with minor mods just for know.Until I
rebuild the 1984 Standard used block that i found (with 14 bolt pan set up) and i have a 10/10 crank Ready to for ballancing and boreing ,and all the components for a whole other engine ,i will need to hunt for an oil pan and timming cover.
Or do I use the one i just got and go nuts with it ?
I hate decisions and complications and people that dont hold there end of the deal
Thanx Need more feedback
