Where can I pick up a decent price/size fire extinguisher I can mount inside my car. I will be buying 2(one for the T and one for the SS). I want either standard red or chrome. Internet sale or local stores work for me, let me know guys.

Also where did you mount yours? Pics would be good too.
Thanks

eBay, Home Depot, Lowes.. They all have them. Home Depot red ones are cheap. I bought a bunch of the small ones for around the house.. I have the Halon chrome one in my GN mounted here...

Home Depot for a red one, though I like the black one shown above better.

I put mine in a large doctors bag type tool bag in the back seat sitting straight up in it and pretty easy to get to.

Also houses all my spare parts, fuses, registration and paperwork, and tuning instructions and spare chips etc.

Easy to move from car to car for racing and long trips as well. :)

.......any home improvement store.....get it home, tape off the valve, and paint it to match your interior.....

Target...it has a velcro bottom so it sticks to the floor mat.

Target or Walmart, can't beat the price$. I also use the "duffle" bag set up, tire plug kit, tools, extinguisher, etc. Goes in the car that we take on trips, just pop the trunk and toss it in ;)

Has anyone seen the designer series fire extinguisher's at lowes ? They are spun bare aluminum and look alot better then the red ones.

I keep a Home Depot special under the driver seat. Fits nice and snug, yet is easy to pull out if needed. I also keep a pair of leather firefighters gloves rubber banded to it, in case something hot needs to be moved to get to whatever is burning.

Just a thought.... Go with the C02 extinguishers. I would never use a powder or pressurized water type. The powder type is extreemly corrosive and makes a huge mess.

What makes the CO2 type different?

CO2 chokes the fire, the powder type gets everywhere and will rust the nicest metal ;)

C02 extinguishers...where are you get them at?

Not sure where you can get them but they are deffinately less messy. There is no residue left behind on a C02. Its a compressed gas, thats all.
