How do we pre-order Im down for one of these. Also I could have mis-read but do you need a translator or trans-plus before purchasing this? I have a stock MAF, so in my understanding all I have to do is buy this trans pro and take off the MAF and then tune from there?
All you will need is a T-Pro, a 3 bar map sensor and optionally an air temp sensor mounted in the up pipe. The temp sensor is not really needed there are modes for it to work either way. I have tried both ways and so far there is no difference. My car is about 90% tuned and the drivability is excellent. I have not connected a laptop yet just used the buttons on the front. You can pre-order on the website we will not charge a card until the day we ship the unit

mike , will this work with any chip or does it require one of the extender chips ??

It will work with any chip but to go mafless you will need an extender or extreme chip. We will also have a "Pro" chip that will add some very interesting features that you will like ;) . I am not ready to post the details about the Pro chip yet but will soon

Do I need A T+?

I was going to buy a Translator + so I could hook up an LS1 Maf. Am I correct in saying I could buy this instead to use the 3.5" Maf? This looks like a heck of alot more adjustability than the T+. I would rather buy this unit when it comes to market. Let me know if I have it straight.

You can buy a T-Pro (in about a month or so) and ditch the MAF all together :D

Alright excellent. Do you have an idea on when the new chips will be coming out? I dont want to buy an extender chip then have that new chip come out. I have an alcohol injection kit, that comes with a 3 bar map right?

New chip will only work with a Pro. If you buy one now we will give you a free upgrade when the new ones come out. Razors kit uses a 3 bar maf so you are good to go there.

Wow fast response nice. Can't beat the service you are providing here, I will be buying an extender and the Trans-pro

Mike, sent you an email.

Rookie

So, looking at the product website, it appears to be pretty easy to use. I noticed you said you haven't used it with a laptop yet. If I don't plan on using it with a laptop, will a rookie tuner like myself still find it easy to use? I have a scanmaster to use, basically stock engine so far. I plan on upgrading turbo/ic/injectors/etc. as money permits. This will allow flexibility on anything from stock to a wild combo if I am reading correctly, right? Sorry for the rookie questions, but I have to make every dollar I spend count. If this is the last tuning unit I buy, then I consider it dollars well spent, even if it only helps a little right now.

At this time it is splice in only. We will look at making a plug and play harness as an option but it will likely be pricey since it will need quite a few connectors. This unit with a pro chip should be all most guys ever need

Mike are you going to make a set up to get the chip and the Mafless pro as a package deal?? Maybe save a few bucks??
This sounds like a great system either way I plan to purchase one ASAP when they are out ;)
Thanks

I doubt it, to be honest there is nothing else even close for the money now. in fact the $399.99 is an introductory price and may go up when we get into full swing. There are boost controllers out there that sell for more than this that do not do as much as this does as just a boost controller.

Mike, any chance you can post a picture and explain the setup you have with mafless T-Pro for those of us still learning...or a link to a pic and explanation may suffice....maybe I missed it cruising through the thread
