You guys keep forgetting one offs cost ! As that is what they are 1 of 1 !

When you make something into production the cost is less simple.

With the software today for the CNC machines it has become much easier to produce parts like this.

My guess on one off costs if you simply hire a custom wheel manufacturer to make those are around $1000 each. They will be around $2k/set even if a large production run was made. There is a lot of really nice work in those. Keep in mind those that have cnc machines have to pay for those machines to stay in business. not an easy thing to do in this country. Therefore its still reflected in the price. Most would rather pay $600-700 for a set produced in China that are 75-80% as good as these than a nice set like this unfortunately.

very nice wheel, if i still had my GN i would have bought a set, **** i paid $1400 per wheel for a set of HRE wheels on my 87 mustang w/o tires.I would have definitely bought a set of these the way they look now, great job man, i am sure there are gonna be a lot of guys here wanting a set.

I never said what was or was not a proper price for them.
All I was saying is that some people get crazy with pricing. Hey I am all for capitalism . . .
And yes CNC machines are pricey.
He will decide on the pricing himself and that will tell where it goes.
I bought some of that junk from china to check it out, well it was all round file material.
No more polluting his thread from me.

Im curious to see where the black paint will be applied. Obviously in the slots around the wheel, but how about the centercap and area surrounding the lugnuts? Will that be painted as well to match closer to a stock GN wheel or will that be left unfinished?

Also, Im curious to see how the wheels look on the car with the widths/backspacing that was used.

On my rims, the black will be in the slots, lug nut holes, center caps, and around the center cap area. Just like the stockers.

I posted the pics of my car because it shows the same tire, rim size, and back space that I will be running with the alum rims. This should give the car the same stance. Rear steel GN rims shown in post #1 were custom widened to 8" with a 4 1/8" BS. Car is lowered 1" at all four corners.

Kinda like the Morel hyd roller lifters that I got going. We had the need for the product. I found a quality company to do it. It aint that hard.

Total price is being figured right now as they're being made. He should know by the end of this week. I'll tell you guys where to get them when he gets that sorted out, along with our pics of them once they are out of the paint shop.

The CNC work is wicked, I would take a set in 15", the rim width and offsets are perfect the way you have them.

If you are taking votes on other sizes I think 18x8 with 4-4.25 BS on the front (most aftermarket brakes kick the hub out .25") and 18x9.5 with 4.75-5" BS for the rears Nitto has a brand new line of Drag Radials which rival the Mickey Thompsons for traction - NT05R in a 285/40 18".
