Well........I know bruce is gonna kill me for this, oh well.

Let's get a good thread going on these two units.

I want to know advantages and disadvantages of these two units.

FJO Unit

TechEdge Unit

Let's the flames, and the berating frome bruce begin! :D

Hmmm....I'd like to some feedback on how accurate that controller is.

Plus I really like the ability of the TE to log RPMs and Thermocouple inputs.

And for the record. The TechEdge unit with:

WBo2 (2.0) system with 6066 sensor
includes Bosch 0 258 006 066 LSU sensor, LD01 display & either 2.6 m or 4.0 m cable with 6066 connector.

Comes out to about $440 USD.

Jer,

A local guy is a dealer for the FJO. You can data log with it as well. Go look at www.widebando2.com for more info. His name's Steve and he's a very sharp guy and should be responsive if you have questions.

I watched his Supra put down 730 RWHP about a week ago. He had the dyno wideband and the RJO one both hooked up; they were within about half a point of each other with the dyno unit lagging during throttle transitions. This makes sense since the dyno unit is placed in the tail pipe further downstream.

I'll get in touch with him Kendall.

The data vs the O2 on the dyno is very encouraging. I'd like to know how nice the software is that comes with the FJO unit. I've been planning writing my own software for whichever unit I buy. I do plan to make the software GPL as well. I think if we got a good group of us together we night be able to make a nice software package that would be able to interface with a few different units.

All I've heard so far bad about the TE unit is the traces on the board are crap. But I don't know if this person was talking about the new 2.0a unit or the older units that TE used to sell.

I think the only leg up on FJO that TE might have is the ability to grab thermocouple inputs and bring them into the datastream from the WBo2 unit.

If you want to support piracy, then I just ignore ya, which is what your doing, IMO. And IMO, is what counts to me.
Later.
