planing my vacation and i can't believe that the stincking park costs $85.00 a person:mad::mad::mad:

Are there any FL resident specials that i can get through a FL resident??

A decent meal for 4 in a park restaurant inside the park will be more than $85 so get used to it:biggrin:. You will easily spend $600 each day getting into a park and eating with 4 people.

Virtually any large family oriented entertainment park like that will cost an arm and a leg.... Disneyland, Disneyworld, Busch Gardens, Dollywood, etc. etc.

10 family members went in Feb, we got a lot of good deals but we planned a year in advance.

My in-laws found all the deals. Getting into the parks are the cheapest thing of the whole trip.

$8 for a turkely leg that is so greasy you cant eat it, but oh the memories:D

You forgot to add in the stinky, sweaty people and waiting on line for 2 hours to ride one 5 minute ride.
My Dad worked there when they started ramping up for the excessive wait times. Was done intentionally to increase sales of the multi-day park passes.

My wife and I are considering skipping Disney all together and just hitting Universal's water park thats only $51.00 a person.
Universal $255.00 for five.
Disney $425.00 for five.
We will be skipping dinner at the park specially at them prices plus like Ty said the food sucks - the last time i went to Disney i had dinner at the castle and only ate the mash potatoes:mad: and paid $150.00 just for my wife and I.

When are you going? I can ask my inlaws this weekend where they found all the deals.

I don't know of any now, but if you know anybody that works for Disney, you may get some help from them. When I say work at Disney, I mean ANY store or Disney establishment. Cast members, as they are known tend to get discounts, free tickets, etc.

check out wetnwild on international drive.
Also that swim with the dolphins thing that seaworld owns is nice. It's pricey but is limited guests and includes a nice meal.

If your up for a drive you should check out weeki wachee springs. it's about an hour and a half drive from o-town.
Fun little water park and they have tubes and kayaks for rent.

are u really gonna alter ur vacation plans for an extra $170? u might as well go to six flags in agawam and save urself the airfare and hotel costs.

6 flags is $60 and disney is $85. not much of a price difference imo tho for a family vacation

The summer isn't 2 weeks long
Six flags - coming soon
Splish splash - coming soon
Camping - coming soon
And a bunch of other activities
Makes sense now??

Better yet.... Skip Disney all together! We enjoyed Universal more than Disney. Probably similar prices though.

We went to disney 6 years ago and stayed outside the park. You can find some condo rentals fairly cheap. Then you're not held captive by Mickey Mouse. We ate breakfast before we went...lunch in the park.. (Cosmic Ray's was pretty good/reasonable) and dinner at the condo. Soup to nuts we spent 4000$ for a week, with airfare, park tickets (Disney 3 day I think, Sea world 1 day), car rental and food for 4 people.

Your plans are for the busy season. So yes you will be there with all those sweaty tourists, 100% humidity and rain every evening.

FYI Disney just raised its prices a few weeks ago.. Universal followed suit. You may want to look into the Disney family plan, some rave about it saving money. I have never looked at it.

Just to clarify its the family dining plan.

I would rather have my fingernails pulled out than to go to Disney World again. I did like Typhoon Lagoon, you can stay in the wave machine lake as long as you want and the Lazy River tube ride is relaxing though it does tend to get pretty skeevy towards the end of the day with all the junk people throw in it.
