I figured you Trans guy experts would know by experience. Any flexplates I should stay away from? The OEM unit has been discontinued and Eric at Dynotech doesn't like most of the aftermarket ones.
What's your experience with aftermarket flexplates?

I'm never gonna finish car.:(

id like top know in laymans terms what he doesnt like about them.did he tell you?

He wasn't trying to sell me one..In fact he said I'd be better off getting one myself. Thats when I asked him which on to get. Just an off the shelf aftermarket or what. Thats when he said he didn't "like" aftermarket flexplates. Just not as beefy I think were his words.
So you don't have any problems with aftermarket plates Chris?
PEP Boys as good as NAPA?

Tthey are usually made just as good as oem or better and the pioneer brand available everywhere has been used by us in a 9 second gn.

Thanks Chris. Just the kinda info I was looking for. One more question. Do I have to ask for a pioneer plate? Lottsa auto part stores around here. No speed shops anymore.:(
