Fluid level - marking dipstick

Alrightee, as I understand from reading previous posts, if the dipstick is inaccurate, the correct fluid level for a 200-4R is level with the oil pan gasket.

I have a Lokar dipstick. Does it make sense to mark it ? That is: oil pan off, dipstick in its tube - scribe a line in the stick level with the bottom of the transmission’s body.

Doesn't this sound reasonable ?

I would hate a mis-read dipstick to throw off my pressur readings.
