Here we go again! I hope you folks in South Florida stay save and get the GNS put away. I'm happy to let anyone keep theirs in my garage if needed. :D

Starting this evening, I am heading down to Savannah, Jacksonville, then to Orlando, Winter Haven, then back home on Friday. I hope the traffic is not too bad coming North.

Looks like we lost a day of preperation. Supposed to be here on Friday. If it does hit here, its going to be nasty! I'm gearing up now, putting on my urban assult equiptment and heading to the grocery store. Pray for me!! ;)

yup, same here. My dad and I spent all day at home depot getting more plywood and ****. The projected path Sunday brought the ****er right over my house. Looks better for us now, but not good for the poor souls in the Orlando area.

Mine is still in Orlando. It survived Charley but I'm calling in the morning to see if I can get it back home.

i picked a great time to take a vacation.supposed to go back home friday but it aint lookiing good. :D

yeah, this is kinda looking bad... 145mph winds and they are expecting them to get stronger. Tomorrow at noon all of Palm Beach county is shutting down so everyone can button the hatches.

Good luck to you guys down there. This has already been a tough year for you. I'll take a cold winter over a hurricane. You're brave in my book!

Not me, I'd much rather deal with a hurricane than anything colder than 50*. Although, you may want to ask me again on monday after the storm has moved through if we still have power!

Man!!!!!!

This crap sure makes things tough on a guy.
At least I don't need to go to the supply houses, but I've had my crews taking down scaffold and bring equipment back to the shop since Monday. That really shoots the heck out of the old budget.

While everyone is evacuating , the wife and I have to stay and send our little one with family. My wife is a nurse and she doesnt even know where to go to work on Friday. The last thing Im worried about is the GN.

Being a Police Officer sux in this situation. I can not take care of my own family and home but im expected to take care of everyone elses. We have been activated to 12 HR. ("A, B") shifts with mandatory attendance. So much for boarding up the windows and we are now in ground zero.

Man, things are looking worse for you folks. Forcast is for the storm to strenghten and it's now taken a more westerly route with landfall near Melbourne and passing over Orlando.

You guys better chase that hurricane away. Me and my girlfriend are supposed to be flying down to Miami Monday morning and leave on a cruise!!

looks like im stayin, no flights past 10 am tommorrow, supposed to leave at 205 pm. just put my moms and sisters shutters on there houses. damn is it hot down here. :D :D

Yep, we've gotten everything secured and tonight we're heading over to Gary Harmon's house. Only time will tell!

If anyone drives this way and needs a place let me know. Even got some garage space. :D

I sympathize with you Rightcoasters. Things you may want to have handy post storm is
*fix-a-flat
*lots of gas
*video camera
*battery and radio
*pre-arrange a place out of the area of effect to shower.
*clean your underwear
*leather gloves
*charged cell phone
*tarps
*ice, lots of it
*spray bottles
*lighter
*Prayer.

My advice after going through Charley.

I feel ya Louie. We are on 12 hour shifts, 13 days on and 1 off. Who thought the phone company would be this demanding. People are so sensitve when they dont have phones, go figure. Stay safe everyone.

Scott

Best of luck and prayers from the northern end of hurricane alley. Whatever you folks need just ask.
