first question, what should the ohm reading be thru (across) a Walbro 340?

reason I ask is I think mine is dead as it is reading less than 1 ohm.

My problem is that this would be the 2nd pump in less than a year to die on me, both brand new Walbros

I also have a caspers hotwire on it less than a year old.

So what could be causing the pumps to die? or is it just bad luck i bought 2 bad pumps?

I am pretty sure nothing is getting in the pump as I have used the fuel sock that comes with the pumps on both....and I have never ran the tank dry.

My plan of action is to see if I can get this 340 replaced, rewire the section that goes from the relay to the hanger and fully drain and clean out the tank....

any other ideas??

TIA

Are you running a volt booster or something??? Too high of a voltage may be burning up the pump motor...How much voltage are you seeing at the pump???

not running a booster, just the caspers hotwire, thru the relay then to the pump, it has been suggested the the orig ground may be the issue....so i will be redoing that one when i get this all straightened out

well its not the pump......found the ECM/IGN fuse blown, didnt realize that was also a fuse in the system, but according to the wiring diagram for fuel on gnttype.org it is

thanks for the help
