Just wondering if I should get a factory replacement fuel pump or a walbro 340? I am basically stock except for mild chip upgrade, cold air kit, and maybe a bigger downpipe down the road. I have heard some say you need to have the 86-87 ECM to use a walbro but others say that is not the case. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Upgrade the fuel pump now. I would get a hot wire kit as well or make your own. All 84-87 TTYPES need this upgrade IMO. Brad

Thanks for the tips. Would a hotwire kit make that much of a difference with a pretty much stock setup? I am going to put in a walbro 340 too. TIA.

i know go with the better but you can get one from a jober like car quest bumber to bumber etc

Is there any way to tell if your car has the hotwire/walbro pump? And is the stock pump like crazy loud???
