Heading to Los Angeles on business next week and planned on staying through the weekend to have some fun...what are the "must see" things to do out there??

2 different car cruise type of shows, both very early Sat morning, 1) Donut Derelicts, corner of Magnolia & Adams Streets, Huntington Beach, Ca, & 2) Irvine Cars & Coffee, Irvine CA. Both start 6:00 - 6:30 AM, over about 8:30 AM or so.

Outside of TR things :) Hollywood/Mann's Chinese Theatre, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier/Beach, Universal $tudio$, Disneyland, Queen Mary/Long Beach, Yahoo travel has a large listing of attractions with reviews and cost.

I do love a good car show...can I come to this one in my PJ's? Gees it's early! lol

Check out the Peterson Automotive Museum (6060 Wilshire blvd.)

Thanks for the all the suggestions! I'll definitely check out some of the car stuff...any suggestions on the night life? Wanna get my dance on! lol

Randys Donuts In Inglewood and the Rib shack In west Compton... I liked the markets downtown. The beach is always fun but its packed... your Idea of fun and Mine may be two tottaly diffrent things In LA.

The fun stuff is always where you least expect it... The Slauson supermall Is a fun place too. Del Amo Mall too.

PJs OK. We're casual here. Heck! you don't even need close for some places. Lots to do here. I once went sking, skydiving, and surfing all in the same day. If you can't find something to do here, your not trying or in a coma.

Oooooh I do love some good food!!! Where are the markets downtown? As a general rule, I hate shopping (malls), but like to poke around in the more unique shops and such. I plan on spending some time at BeSpun in L.A., anything good in that area?

Well the Slauson Supermall in kind of an indoor strip mall.... Earls hot Dogs is pretty good as well as Kookooroos. The best markets downtown are the Grand Central markets and some of the Latino markets. Just be mindful at night and if you go to Earls hot dogs or the Supermall/the rib shack be prepared to go a lil out of your way. Worth it IMO
