Save the pictures man! Get your priorities straight! (Blackmail is forever)
I actually planned on opening a company that did pastes of pics over a target and her pic would've been the example I used.:D Legally it's risky but it was going to be called "Target your EX!". I might get hauled into court with someone trying to hurt the ex so it seems like it's dead now, no pun intended.:(

I just spent a week down in Fort Myers area, putting my uncle to rest. while down there I did some real estate info, the wife & I are looking REAL hard at buying a rental home or 2 for a retirement investment.

Lots of houses up right now... check in Lehigh, and North Cape coral as well. Cape is nice (where I live) and most houses are newer cookie cutter homes built for the "boom" that fizzled out.

Just be really careful of Chinese Drywall.... You buy a house with that, plan on gutting it and replacing everything copper or Aluminum.

actually I am looking in Lehigh, & I know about the chinese dry wall issue. 1 of my uncles best friends is a realtor / rental property manager. I am amazed what 50k can buy for a home.

Slight Hijack;;;;;; TurboIndian:

Be careful on the Lehigh Real Estate. It's not as nice as it used to be. (It wasn't all that nice before!)
Lots of issues with crime in that area.... But it is cheap.

Cape is ok. Just need to go and physically look at the location--- Realtors are not always on the up and up...
Cape is the better place for a rental... If you're planning to buy, bring cash (ie: don't count on financing). Most good houses are on the market for a couple of days and snow birds are swooping in with cash and buying outright.

My family lives out there and they've been looking in that price range (for about 1 year~!!!) ... Houses at $30-60k need lots of work... Most prices that don't require too much are around $70-80k- and there are bidding wars... Chinese drywall will be disclosed and necessitate removal of all drywall, electrical and plumbing- still some great deals to be had if you are handy and have some cash on hand....

And make sure you have plenty of hurricane insurance, plenty.....those 'canes really tear the place up down there. I've seen it.

I just got back from Treasure Island March 2nd. It's on the Gulf Coast, I believe you mentioned Clearwater. I stayed at the Sand Pebble, that whole area is very nice. Lots of beaches, Medeira, treasure Island, John's Pass etc.... The family and I had a great a time. We went to Tampa and Orlando as well but we enjoyed the Treasure Island Area the most. One place we enjoyed to eat at was Britt's Pizza on Gulf Blvd., and if you want a great buffet, try Shepperd's in Clearwater, it's a bit more expensive but the food was great. I took this picture late in the day but this is the beach behind the Sand Pebble. I wish I was there right now but it will have to wait until next year. It was the first real vacation I had taken in 13 years. I didn't make it to Sanibel Island but I was told about it. Not a bad thing that I didn't make it, the wife has a hard enough time keeping her hands off of me.
