Just thought I'd give a heads up to you guys, there were two really nice articles on building a strong th200-4r with Art Carr in which he actually considers the 200 stronger than the 700 in many aspects. This was something that I always thought the opposite.

There is also an article on where they install the hydroboost from power brake service in a buick (not a TR) unfortunately.

But these are two topics that I know have been discussed regularly on here and thought everyone may benefit from checking it out. I have a newly found respect for my transmission now.

Just got it as well. They put a hydroboost in a 71 Skylark. It's inspiring me to hydroboost my Regal. Except a new hb is expensive and I can't get a straight answer on if all of the lines and stuff off a hot air 84-85 TR would work on an 86-87 TR.

i cant imagine why not.. the only issue i could think of would just be routing hoses / actual hose lengths and maybe the 86/87 PS pump's ability to supply the steering rack AND the master cylinder...

the hydroboost is hardly being used when the brakes are being used, and the brakes are hardly ever used when the steering is being used..
any good GM pump can keep up just fine as long as the return line is properly plumbed.

and there we go... go with a nice aftermarket braided stainless hose setup and there are no reasons a hydroboost setup wouldnt work just fine in any g body

the only prob with the car craft article is the website to power brake service sucks lol no info on actual applications i wonder which hydroboost units work i hear some are a bolt in using the p master mounting plate...Both my chevy express 2500 cargo vans have hydroboost and 4 wheel disc i wonder if one of ehese units will work? If they can stop a 6000 lb van loaded with 2000lbs of freight im sure a g body will be childs play ;) !!!!!!
