Looking for ball bearing turbo. GN has all bolt ons including upgrade intercooler, stall speed converter and alky system. Was tuned by a tuner in Chicago burbs. Stock internals. Power goal is 600 whp. Thx.

Above your thread in this forum is a post by PTE about the Next Gen3 turbos. Either of the smaller ones are a jump up and with a stockish build you'll be happy. Really Big without supporting mods will be a turd on the street and you'll be disappointed.

Who's your Chicagoland tuner btw?

If your serious about a bb turbo and want 600rwhp pm me
I can go through your combo and advise

as crazy as it sounds the 5658 would be my next turbo if my 5857 died tomorrow
On a comp triple bb turbo hubless ctr or ctr-x i wouldn't put anything smaller than a 62mm on these motors.
Their new ctr-x 62 is good for over 1100hp and spool up before anyone can type spool.

silly question, would the ctr-x 62mm hubless be a restriction on a 272 in engine in T-4 v-band configuration ?

Stuff it into the big housing and eat, the torque from 3500-5000rpm would be a giant mountain on our engine (my 235ci at 8.5 comp saw 800+tq by 4000rpm on a smaller 58/55 turbo).

If you're a street car that engine would be the setup to hang with those EVs that have instant torque and put 1-2 cars instantly on most ICE. I'm literally thinking about building a TA 4.5L 10:1 with this turbo for my next engine, the torque these can make on our engine in that range is insane. Massive torque mountain vs slow creep up I see on old turbos and housings.

Track, different variables, Spool knows best.

OP was banned so maybe he's reading this from the outside.

Nothing wrong with a question like that
You could start a backpressure thread
I know a thing or 2 about it😉
And would be willing to participate
