Much to my wife's dismay we brought this home yesterday. This car been around for a long time. Old timers will remember it as Travis Beckendorffs first race car. Went mid 9s way back in the day. Yes that is a real GNX dash. Had a twin turbo motor last. I have a 109 stroker under contruction so the question is should I slap some stage 2 heads on it bolt up the twins and see how much a 109 will really take or maybe just some good heads and a 70GTQ and see where that takes us. Either way it is good to have a race car again

Who painted it white? I heard Travis switched over to racing boats many, many moons ago...after his back and forth with Tom Lorek (OLD school!)

Putting twins on a 109, as far as I know, has always proven to be more trouble than it is worth. And twin turbos always put you in the bracket racing classes at Buick events.

It is an original GN the last owner painted it that pearl white. My best guess is that the paint is from an Escalade. If it turns into a class car fine, if not thats fine too. Just wanna have fun

Mike, I say to H*LL with all the rules of racing 109's. Go big!!

I think I would do the stroker with the heads and the 70GTQ. It'd be a good way to market the stroker stuff. But then again, twin turbos' would be sweet :D Looks like a very nice car, I know you had been looking for a roller, looks like you found a nice one :)

Wow, that is a sweet ride. If it were my car I would just have to play with the twin turbo setup since it's on there already. If I didn't like it I would sell the setup and go with a single turbo. Either way that is one nice looking car. :D

Congrats Mike, if anyone should have a race car it’s you Mike.

Hey Mike,
Glad you found a nice racecar. That car looks killer! Looks like it will be lots of FUN. Good luck.

Well after walking around at Indy and talking to a few guys it looks like a stroker 109, cast iron stage 2 heads and the twins will be the first try, with a stock ECM course. I having fun now :D
