Im at the auto wrecker today looking for random stuff. I spot a mid 80s Grand Prix. I take a look under her and see that it has that 3rd bar that runs across from frame horn to frame horn. Im like sweeeeet so I grab my tools and go at it. Well, my hands were a little greasy and I lost my grip. My hand flies off the ratchet and meets a the bottom of the fender right in front of the wheel well. It cut the webbing between my index and middle finger all the way to the knuckle. I paid for my parts and headed to the ER. The doctor says I missed the nerve by about 3mm. Anyhow, 8 stitches and 3 hours later Im home. Doctor says no wrenching for 12 days. Im gonna get that damn bar...me and that bolt have beef now.

Take a magnet with you and see if the front is aluminum. If it is you can lightem up your front some.

the grand prix had a 3rd frame brace? if so I should grab one. Theres one here at the junkyard.

Check under yours and see if you have any in the front first. If not you need to grab all 3 to stiffen it up some.

I dont, I grabbed two from a cutlass salon, but the bolts dont fit into my frame so I need to find a few bolts that do. I might go and find the 3rd brace though.
