Probably electrical gremlins. Here's the symptoms. 1) I'll be cruising along and suddenly the car will start to buck and stutter. It will do this about 3 times then smooth out and there will be no more problems. The knock sensor will go to yellow. If it's dark I'll see the right hand turn signal blink weakly a few times. 2) I'll accelerate hard, let off on the gas, and the engine will die. Restarts immediately and runs fine. 3) The headlights dim for no apparent reason and there's a slight hesitation in the engine. A mild cough compared to the harsh bucking in symptom 1.

Car is running great other than that.

Stock engine (block, heads and cam), 009 injectors, stock computer with 009 chip, Walbro GSS340 fp (hotwired), adjustable fpr, stock headers, Cheetah Stage III turbo, 3" THDP,
hi-flow cat, single shot exhaust, alcohol injection, 14" K&N, Stage Right TransBrake, 2800 stall Precision TQ, rebuilt T200-4R, other suspension etc. mods.

Check the normal first...Visual of connections.
Battery terminal neg and pos, take them off the battery to verify no corrosion between the battery and terminal.
Check alternator pos cable for secure mount
Check the pos going to the alt off the starter for solid conn.
Check all gnds on engine and firewall
ECM connections
Alt is putting out right volts

The turn signal business is squirrely. Check all the connections and wires on the steering column. maybe there is a short or grond on some wires from an old alarm or something.
With the motor running get in the car and start wiggle the harness and connections and see if anything goofy happpens(engine bogs, etc)

good luck

sounds like its the main power cable, burnt, scored, or just shorting a bit as the engine shakes
